Supported by the National Art Fund and undertaken by the industrial and cultural development center of the Ministry of industry and information technology, the platform construction project of China's lost overseas handicrafts (not shown) will be launched soon. This project is based on the theme of "Chinese lost overseas Artworks (not on display)". The first batch of cooperation with Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge University and the Museum of Archaeology and anthropology will digitize the cultural relics of Chinese arts and crafts that are not displayed in the two museums, so as to establish a comprehensive digital archives for these handicrafts, and then form a platform construction of digital museum 。

The project is strongly supported by King's college, Cambridge University, UK. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the two sides held many meetings in China and Britain, held expert seminars, and finally completed the catalogue and classification of the collection, and obtained a large number of data files.

A large number of overseas handicrafts are also part of the excellent traditional Chinese culture. Due to cultural cognitive differences, technical conditions and other reasons, most of these crafts have not been sorted out and studied, and most of them are difficult to return to China. Through the opening of digital museum website, we can provide a more convenient and intuitive window to understand the long history of our country, which will promote the deep development and global sharing of these cultural resources.
