Cultural Event "Chang'an Meets Rome" Hosted at the Tang West Market Museum in Xi'an

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Italy. Taking this opportunity, the Tang West Market Museum and CCTV co-organized the cultural event "Chang'an Meets Rome" on November 20, 2020. Through live broadcast, the Silk Road civilization and the museum's cultural and creative products were showcased to the global audience.
The live broadcast started with the rare cultural relics of the museum, and reviewed the historical trajectory of the Silk Road from Chang'an to Rome. Focused on the cultural relics unearthed from the West Market and those from the Tang Dynasty, the event introduced the then world's largest international trade market "West Market"，and associated management, finance, business and foreign cultural exchanges in the Tang Dynasty to the global audience. The event attracted 520,000 views.
