Slab Stone Bridge Remains north to northeast “Cross Streets”

        In 2006, the archaeologists have a detailed excavation for the “Cross Streets” in northeast West Market and discovered the remains of a bridge in the north side of the street. The bridge was about 5.5m long from east to west and 1.75m wide from north to south. The “slab stone bridge” was the passage for pedestrian and the culvert for the water. The slab stones were fixed by the iron fasteners and supported by strip stones or slab stones beneath it. The bridge was built with exquisite workmanship and firm structure.
