About Us

As the first character-themed national museum with the function of cultural relics collection, exhibition and scientific research approved by the State Council, National Museum has developed into an education center of Chinese characters culture, a patriotic education base, a window to show Chinese culture to the world, a national cultural center of Chinese characters as well as an international platform for culture exchanging. Since being established on   November 16,2009, the Museum has successfully held nearly 100 large-scale culture events    such as the Chinese Characters Development Forum for five times, the Chinese Characters & Calligraphy Forum for four times, the Sitang Cup National Calligraphy Works Show for five times and some Culture and Creative Products Exhibitions etc.  We have also set up an academic research team led by Professor Li Xueqin. Besides, the permanent exhibition of the Chinese Writing History has won the special prize of the 9th National Top 10 Exhibitions. The well-crafted Exhibition Tour of Chinese Characters has also widely showed in more than twenty countries and regions such as the US and the UK as well as over ten cities and seventy schools, communities, administrations, military camps and companies of China, receiving wide acclaim from all sectors of the community.
