      Jilin Provincial Museum of Traditional Chinese medicine is located in the Jingyue National High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Changchun, a Comprehensive Exhibition Hall of Traditional Chinese Medicine directly under the Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in the Changchun University of Chinese Medicine Campus, its predecessor is the Museum of Medical History which was built in 1963 and the herbarium of traditional Chinese medicine which was built in 1959. In 2009, when the school was reformed, it was integrated into the Changchun University of Chinese Medicine. In December 2011, it was officially named the Jilin Museum of Traditional Chinese medicine with the approval of the Jilin Provincial Culture Department. In September 2013, the new museum opened. The Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Jilin Province is now recognized as a provincial science popularization base by the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and technology. The Jilin Provincial Association of Science and Technology has named it the fourth batch of science popularization education bases. The Chinese Association of science has named it the National Science Popularization Education Base, and it is a member unit of the China Museum Association, it is a position with distinctive characteristics, complete system, Rich Library collection and outstanding educational functions, and has become a cultural place with professional characteristics and a foreign brand of the school, it plays an active role in developing professional knowledge teaching for students, popularizing knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine for the public and carrying forward Chinese traditional culture. The museum covers an area of 12,000 square meters, has a construction area of 7,250 square meters and a display area of 3,860 square meters, namely, North Medicine Exhibition Hall, Animal Medicine Exhibition Hall, Ginseng Exhibition Hall, Jilin Province famous and excellent Chinese Medicine Enterprise Exhibition Hall, Chinese Medicine General History Exhibition Hall and Local Medicine Characteristic Exhibition Hall, collect and display more than 2,000 Chinese medicine cultural relics, Chinese medicine specimen more than 10,000. Featuring historical figures, stories, deeds, information, literature, pictures and models of traditional Chinese medicine culture, the unique resources of traditional Chinese medicine in the North Baekdu Mountain medical base, as well as the Northeast Manchu, Mongolian, Korean and other ethnic minority medicine culture with regional characteristics.
