Jade Burial Suits Sewn with Gold Thread

These burial suits unearthed in 1968 were for King LiuSheng and his queen DouWan, which have been the earliest and best preserved jade suits till now. The king couple were buried in their separate tomb, but quite close in same mountain of Mancheng county of Hebei. King LiuSheng was 42 years in reign of ZhongShan State of Han Dynasty. The burial suit for king LiuSheng was of 188cm long, with 2498 pieces of jade. The suit for queen DouWan was 172cm long with 2160 pieces of jade.
