Detail

The founding of Rolls Royce Company started from an encounter of a noble and a commoner. In 1904, Charles Rolls, a nobleman, became friends with Henry Royce because of their common interest in cars. The two men established the Rolls-Royce Company in 1906. Rolls -Royce logo above the front hood consists of two overlapping “R”, symbolizes the spirit of cooperation and support. The value of this brand lies in its limited supply, unique design, personalized details and noble identity as represented by its bonnet ornament “celebration goddess”. In order to ensure its superb quality, each Rolls-Royce automobile has exclusively been handcrafted, and that’s where it’s more outstanding than other luxury cars. After a succession of changes in ownership, the company constantly sought perfection by combining cutting-edge technologies with traditional exquisite craftsmanship. Silver Ghost, developed in 1906, got its name because it ran without any sound like a ghost, it retired after only 7874 were manufactured by hand. Silver Ghost was the world’s only sedan produced under quality control at that time. The Silver Ghost on display is a 100% original car, which was produced in 1926 and is a second-class collection of the museum. It was collected in 2010. It appeared in the Rolls-Royce Vintage Tour Show many times and was granted Full Class Certification by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA). It can still  be driven now.
