Detail

Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903, one of the founders is Henry Ford. The Ford Model T was launched on October 1, 1908, and is attractive because of its light and simple structure, high power output and low price. But before 1913, the Ford Model T was always produced by traditional manual methods, initially priced at 850$. Until 1913, Henry Ford and his team were inspired by the slaughterhouse production process and introduced the assembly line to automobile manufacturing. This method transformed the inefficient production mode in traditional workshops into mass production, which brought a revolution not only in America but also worldwide. As the first type that was adopted the assembly line for mass production, the output of Model T was increased dramatically and its price was lowered to 265$. Even with the roof and other accessories added, it was sold for only 400$ while other cars were priced at 2,000$ to 3,000$ in the same period. Therefore, Model T became the first affordable car to the common people. The Ford Model T displayed in the museum was produced in 1927, is a second-class collection of the museum. It was collected in 2010. The paint and various accessories are original parts. It is one of Model T that have remained relatively intact so far, and it can still be driven now.
